Cellcom Green Bay Marathon - Ali Schanhofer

Hi. 1st off THANK YOU for visiting my fundraising page, I truly do appreciate you stopping by. As many of you know I am an avid runner who is also passionate about giving back. My 2016 New Years Resolution is to "Pay it Forward" through running and the Green Bay Cellcom Marathon gives me that opportunity through their Run for a Reason program.

After reading a story on the Humans of New York Facebook page about a female who had endured domestic violence throughout her life I became inspired to get involved and help individuals in my community also touched by domestic violence.

As a charity partner for the Cellcom Marathon Golden House will benefit from funds raised by runners in 2016. Golden House provides a wide range of support programs and shelter for victims of domestic violence. They are a non-profit organization offering services to individuals of ALL ages, sexes, races, sexual orientation, and gender expression, including: individual counseling, temporary shelter,24 hour helpline, legal assistance (restraining and harassment order filing assistance), support groups, transitional housing options, prevention education and more.

I am proud to support this group and would love for you to join me in doing so as well. Thank you in helping me to achieve my goal of completing the Cellcom Marathon and helping out those in need along the way!
