11th Annual South Shore Half Marathon & 5K

*IMPORTANT CHANGE* The 2025 South Shore Half Marathon & 5K location has been changed from Hanover Crossing to Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA as of 5/22/25.

We’re excited to announce the 11th Annual South Shore Half Marathon and 5K on November 2 in beautiful Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA! Known for being one of the most scenic and popular half marathons and 5K’s in Massachusetts, and considering we’re offering the lowest early bird pricing ever, you don’t want to miss out!

We’ve also added new, more fun swag, including long-sleeve t-shirts and medals for all runners!

***There will not be beer after the race this year, due to permitting restrictions from Wompatuck State Park. Instead, a beer voucher for Mayflower Brewing in Plymouth to be used the week of 11/2/25 - 11/8/25 will be attached to all bibs.  The post-race celebration will still include music from DJ, award ceremony, light snacks, and the team from Run Slower Hats will also have a booth on-site so stop by and see them! 

6:00 AM – Registration Opens
7:30 AM – Half Marathon Starts
8:00 AM – 5K Starts

All parking will take place in the South Field parking area at Wompatuck State Park on the opposite end of the park from the entrance. The entrance to the park is 204 Union Street in Hingham (see map below for details). The red arrows indicate driving direction to get to the starting and parking area.  It's approximately 4 miles from the entrance to the parking area. The South Field parking area itself is a very large grass field, not a paved parking lot.  There will be a marked path in and out of the field on race day. 

Pre Race:
Friday, Oct 31 from 11am-3pm and Sat, Nov 1 from 11am-5:30pm at Marathon Sports in Norwell (134 Washington St, Norwell, MA 02061). Marathon Sports will be hosting a tent sale that Saturday as well!

Race Day:
Sunday, November 2 starting at 6 AM near start line.

Gear Check will be available at the registration table.
Items will be marked with participant bib #'s.

Half Marathon Runners will receive:

• Long-sleeve unisex t-shirt (Must register by 10/10/2025)
• Pair of custom race socks
• Massive finisher medal
• 1 free beer voucher to be used at Mayflower Brewing in Plymouth 11/2/25-11/8/25 with valid id.
• Post-race party
• Snacks post-race
• Free finish line photos
• Professional chip-timed bib (with results posted instantly after race)

5K Runners will receive:

• Long-sleeve unisex t-shirt (Must register by 10/10/2025)
• Massive finisher medal
