Rahr Oktoberfest 5k - 2012

The cry of happy beer drinkers at the start of the Munich Oktoberfest, which in German means, "The keg is tapped!" Well, almost! It is time to lace up those running shoes, dust off your lederhosen & dirndl, grab your favorite beer stein and meet us at Rahr & Sons brewery on Saturday, September 29th for the third annual running of the Rahr & Sons Oktoberfest 5K all benefitting the Trinity Habitat for Humanity.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU REGISTER AFTER SEPTEMBER 25 AT 10:00 AM YOUR PACKET WILL BE READY FOR YOU ON RACE DAY ONLY!

Packet Pick Up is on Wednesday and Thursday, September 26 & 27 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at either Central Market Fort Worth or Central Market Dallas, or at Rahr & Sons Brewing Company, 701 Galveston Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104, Friday, September 28, 11 AM - 7 PM.

Packets will also be available race morning at the event.

To help ensure you get a shirt that fits please pick up your packet early at Central Market and do not wait until race day!

Packet Pick-Up will be available at the following locations:

7:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Packet Pick up and Race Day Registration
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Rahr & Sons Oktoberfest 5K Run/Walk
10:00 AM: Post-Race Biergarten, O'Zapft!
Celebrate the Rahr Oktoberfest after the race - das Rahr Craft Bier, die Musik, and die wurst!!
10:30 AM: Awards

Disposable timing tags will be used at this event. You must wear a tag to be timed and eligible for awards. Age group awards will be determined by tag time.

1st Overall & Masters finishers in both genders will receive awards.
Top 3 finishers: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Top 3 Beer Belly Awards: Female 175+ lb and Male 200+ lb weight categories will also receive awards.

Trinity Habitat for Humanity

Founded in 1976 by Millard Fuller and his wife Linda, Habitat for Humanity has built in excess of 300,000 quality affordable homes and over 1.5 million people served around the world. All Habitat for Humanity affiliates build on the belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live at a price they can afford. Fort Worth Area Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1989 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Fort Worth Area Habitat has since grown from a handful of dedicated founders into a volunteer corps of thousands and today ranks among the top 20 U.S. Habitat affiliates in home production. In 2006 the name was changed to Trinity Habitat for Humanity in order to be more inclusive of the four counties we serve.
