Description:
Learn how to orienteer with Russ Hart. Orienteering is a sport in which Orienteers use an accurate, detailed map and a compass to find points in a landscape. It can be enjoyed as a walk in the woods or as a competitive sport like in the upcoming High Profile Adventure Camp that some of our club members will be attending in April (4/7-4/8) at Camp Benson in Mt. Carroll, IL.

The first hour of our orienteering class from 1:00 - 2:00 PM will be taught at the Quad Cities Food Hub. The last hour of our class will be at Sunderbruch Park in Davenport to put our new-found skills to work. We will carpool together from the Food Hub to the park.

Russ encourages our members to bring an orienteering map compass, which can
be purchased at Active Endeavors or Gander Mountain for approximately $10.
You may also want to bring something to take notes on.

We will be warm and toasty at the Food Hub, but please dress for the outdoors as we will be outside for 60-75 minutes at Sunderbruch Park.
