Paws in the Park is a 5K Walk/Run for dogs and people on the beautiful trails at Summit Lake State Park and also features a shorter 1 mile walk down by the beach. This event is open to all ages, people with or without a dog, those who want to race or enjoy a walk, for families to spend time together, and for everyone to spend a fun time with their dogs!

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Grateful Rescue Pet Safe Haven in Muncie, to purchase pet oxygen masks for local fire stations, and to help purchase a police K-9 vest.

All participants who register by Sept. 16th will receive a t-shirt and wag bag. Additional shirts available for $10.00. Registrants after Sept. 16th will receive a t-shirt and wag bag on a first come first serve basis while supplies last.

Awards will be given for those entered in the 5K run.

Dog Etiquette
In order to keep everyone safe please follow these guidelines:
Only bring dogs that are well-behaved around other dogs and people.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
Please use a regular leash no longer than 6 feet (no retractable leashes).
No dogs in heat.

$7 park admission fee not included.

Day of registrations accepted.

Race packets may be picked up between 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM
