Event Location |
Lake Storey, Galesburg, IL. Registration will be in Shelter #1 (near the Pavilion).
5K will be held on the paved trail. 1 mile Fun Run will begins near the softball fields.

Join us for the 3rd annual CASA of Knox County Be a Superhero for Kids Race on Saturday, May 7, 2016. This event will be at Lake Storey Park and will feature a timed 5K as well as a 1 mile "fun run" and walk. This year we will introduce the optional duathlon to the race. Participants can opt to compete in the duathlon by completing an 8 mile bike ride following the 5K.

. Registration will be in Shelter #1 (near the Pavilion) beginning at 7a.m.
. 5k will be held on the paved trail. 1 mile Fun Run will be held on the paved trail. Duathlon will be the 5k course plus an additional 8 miles on paved road.
. Children's duathlon will be one mile run/walk, one mile bike with a secured course.
. All pre-registered participants will receive a t-shirt on race day. Day-of-events registrants will receive
. Refreshments will be available.

. All CASA volunteers and supporters are Superheroes for the children our agency serves. Come dressed as your favorite Superhero and enter our costume contest for the chance to win a prize!
. Prizes will be awarded to the top pledge collectors.
. Duathlon participants will be required to wear a bicycle helmet for the cycling portion of the event.
. All participants will be required to sign a waiver on Race Day.
. Strollers will be allowed on the 1-mile and 5K courses, but must begin the race behind the other race participants.
