5K Run/Walk - 9:00 AM
1-Mile Fun Run - 10:30 AM

Course:
The 5K Run/Walk starts in front of Corydon Elementary School. This road race heads to the intersection of IN-135 and Heidelberg Rd and back again, finishing back at Corydon Elementary (notice this is a change from last year's race). There will be mile-markers throughout the course and a water stop at the turn-around. Awards will be given to the top three finishers of gender and age group.

Awards will be given to the top three finishers of gender and age group (13&Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70&Up).

The 1-Mile Fun Run will be inside Corydon Elementary School after the 5K Run is finished. Runners will run the carpeted "track" inside the school.

Categories
PreK-K: 1 lap
grades 1-3: 1/2 mile (3 laps)
grades 4-6: 1 mile (4 laps)

Field trips are essential to a student's educational experience. Field trips "engage" students in studies beyond what would be the case in a classroom setting. Corydon Elementary School takes pride in funding all field trips independently so all CES students can participate.

However, today's tough economic conditions make it difficult for Corydon Elementary School to meet those needs. The CES Kitten Classic 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run serves two purposes:

• raising funds for our students' needs
  
• promoting healthy living for CES families
  

Guaranteed to all pre-registered 5K participants. If you register the day of, you can request a shirt be ordered for pick up at the CES office.
