About the Race |
The Have a Heart 5k is a run in honor of Ashley Gonyo, a student at Sacred Heart School in West Des Moines. Ashley was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL) on February 20th, 2013 and has successfully completed her cancer treatments. Ashley is living cancer free and a true inspiration to all of us. Please join us on June 25th, 2017 for the 5th Annual Have a Heart 5k. Money raised from the event will be donated to local charities that support families affected by childhood cancer, including Blank Children's Hospital and the Cancer Connection and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society - Central Iowa Chapter.
Tunes will be played by DJ Metro & the event will be professionally timed.

$30 for 18 and older and $20 for 17 and under.

FREE KIDS fun run to begin at 9:00 (5 and below = 1/4 of a mile; 6 to 9 = 1/2 of a mile and 10+ run a mile)
