This year’s event includes a 5K run and 5K walk . The Fort Ligonier Days 5K Main Event Sponsor once again is Commercial Bank & Trust of PA.

Sunday’s race will begin at 8:30 AM with re-enactors from Fort Ligonier firing muskets to start the race.

At the finish, food and beverages will be available. Overall and age awards will be presented.

This has become such a fun family event. We now have children running the 5K with their parents. The event attracts re-enactors from Fort Ligonier. Some re-enactors run in full gear carrying muskets! The Valley Youth Network, police, fireman, EMTs, and community volunteers will be on hand to help with the event.”

- Check-in/Packet Pick-Up open from 7am-8am

- Racers assemble at start @ 8:20 AM Races Start @ 8:30 AM SHARP (Walk wave starts 3 minutes later at 8:33 AM)

1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall Male and Female, Top 3 in each age group Male and Female for Runners and Walkers

Age Groups:
14 and under, then 5 year age divisions from 15-19 to 65-69, then 70+

Awards ceremony will be held following the event.

Free race event parking is available on site at Ligonier Valley High School. There will be signs and parking attendants to help guide you to a parking spot.

Check-in will take place at the main entrance of Ligonier Valley High School. Check-in will be open on Sunday, October 16th from 7am - 8am. When you are checking in on Sunday, please leave plenty of time to park, check-in, and get warmed up for the race.

Race Procedure- Runners and Walkers
Runners can walk any distance if unable to sustain a running pace and then resume running again as one is able. However, Walkers can ONLY walk. Walkers must have one foot always in contact with the ground. A violation of this rule is called "lifting." Please use an honor system to adhere to this rule. There will be no observers on the course.

Course Marking
The course will be marked by start time Sunday morning.

Aid Stations
There will be one (1) Aid Station located midway on the course. The aid station will be stocked with water and/or Gatorade.

Course
This is a fun and friendly 5k road event course. It is mainly level with a slight grade and one steep 150 yard climb on the return segment. The course will be closed to vehicle traffic. Intersections will be monitored by volunteers.

Restrooms
Porta-potty toilets will be located at Ligonier Valley High School in the race registration area and in parking areas.

NO LOUD AUDIBLE MUSIC
The use of EARPHONES is permitted, however LOUD AUDIBLE MUSIC from portable speakers is not permitted on the race course.

Results
Results will be posted as they become available at RunHigh.com and also will be posted on our website within one or two days of the race.

Post-Race Food/Drink
Post race food will be included for participants and volunteers.

Awards
Awards ceremony will be held following the event.
