Eagle Triathlon and Kids Triathlon

Take Exit 133 (Farmers/Sharky) off I-64. If traveling from the east, turn left off of the interstate ramp. If traveling from the west, turn right off of the interstate ramp.

Heading south, you will come to a 4 way stop at the intersection of US 60/ KY801. Staying on 801 South (straight) you will proceed approximately 6 miles, on HWY 801, to Twin Knobs Recreation Area.

The entrance to the recreation area is on the right. You will not be required to pay an entrance fee if you are participating in the race.

However if you wish to enter the area prior to race day you are subject to the entrance fees.

Awards will be given in all age groups: 5-12 (kids' Tri); 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60+

Awards will be given in all age groups that have at least two people pre-registered by August 1, 2010. Other maybe added later.

All racers will be treated a picnic and be placed in a drawing for a Giant Sedona and other give-a-ways.

The MSU Eagle Triathlon will consist of the following components:

1. 500 yard Swim - race in the Cave Run Lake.
2. 12 mile Bike Race - an out & back course on paved road - Route 801.
3. 3 Mile Run - an out and back course run on paved and/or gravel service road.

The kids' triathlon will begin at 11:00. All kids must have an adult present at the starting line.

1. 100 yard swim
2. 2 mile road bike
3. .5 mile run
