Location and Course Description |
The return of a very popular event! The course is on top of Cherry Creek Dam (west edge of beautiful Cherry Creek State Park) on the south side opposite Cherry Creek High School. It is a flat, simple and fast, "out and back" along the top of the dam heading North, turning around and heading back.
Take I-25 to I-225 and exit at Yosemite. Go south to Union and turn left or east about 1/3 mile to the parking areas, or south on I-225, exit at Yosemite, and then south to Union and east to parking. Start line is a 5 min. walk NW onto the Dam Roadway which is closed.

Awards |
Awards in the 5K will be given to the overall male and female, then to the top two males and top two females in the age groups 12 and under, 13-19. 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
Awards in the WALK will be given to the top three M/F overall as determined by USATF certified officials.

Race Day Shoe Sportag & Timing Chip Pick Up |
All shoe tags will be available for pick up on race day only. Runners who wish to be timed MUST pick up their timing shoe tag on race morning and ensure it is properly worn on their shoe throughout the race.
There will be a $30 charge for all non-returned shoe tags.
