What is it?
Downtown Enid will be filled with the undead as runners work to stay alive for 3.11 miles. Come join us for great family fun as all chaos breaks loose. Chances are, you've seen at least one good zombie movie where people are running to keep their brains. Runners will complete 3.1 miles by dodging, speeding past, or otherwise avoiding the undead that will be trying to grab their lives. The goal is simple: stay alive by keeping at least one of your flags(lives) until the end.

You begin simply by making a decision, life or death. Do you choose to risk it all in the race as a live runner, dodging the undead or do you dress up in your best Zombie costume to participate as either a Creeper, Walker or Sprinter?

Mortal Runners
Runners have one job...stay alive. You'll be wearing two flags (think flag football) that represent your lives. Finish the race with one of your original flags intact to "stay alive" and win a prize. Wear pants with a waist band.

This is not a timed 5K instead the challenge comes in staying alive for the entire 3.11 miles. If you do get bitten, don't worry we will have a few Zombie-free areas on the path to give you a chance to rest and hit the "Medic Station" to get some life back (pick up additional flags).

Zombies
Dress up in your best Zombie look (clothes, make-up, props) NO TOY OR REAL WEAPONS ALLOWED. There will be a costume contest so get creative. Check out the Walking Dead for ideas! Or come 1-2 hours early and have your make up done by a make-up artist for a cash donation. First come, First Serve.

• The Zombie Creeper-NO NEED TO BE A RUNNER OR EVEN A WALKER TO PARTICIPATE
  
The Creeper will creep around the course scaring and distracting Mortal Runners. No running allowed[ulist]
• You will stay on a specific part of the course the entire duration of the race. [*]You will not be allowed to take runner flags, instead you will travel in packs, get in the way, and scare people

[*]The Zombie Walker
The Walker will be assigned to a one mile section of the course. You can stand, limp, stagger, or show off your best Zombie walk as long as you don't run. The Walker will grab runner flags that get too close. The goal is to have the most flags at the end of the race.

• You will stay on the course the entire length of the race but will not run ANY of the 3.11 mile course.[*]You can move in any direction within your assigned mile section of the course(toward the finish line, back toward the starting gate, to the side) You will grab flags that you can reach without chasing or running after the runners

[*]The Zombie Sprinter
The Sprinter is the most terrifying of all Zombies. The Sprinter will pursue the runners for most of the full 3.11 miles of the course to grab flags. The goal is to have the most flags at the end of the race.

[*]You get to chase runners at full speed in pursuit of their lives(flags) as long as you are always running toward the finish line-you can't turn around and go back[*]All runners are potential victims unless in the Zombie-free areas-you may run through the Zombie-free area but may not pull flags in these safe zones[*]You will complete the entire 3.1 mile course-once complete you cannot re-enter the course

Packet Pick Up will be at McDonald's at 4125 W Garriott St, Enid Ok on Friday, October 30th 11a-1:30p or 5p-7p or at Chisholm's Home Football Game after 7pm
Packets will give details about parking, expected arrival times for Creeper and Walker Zombies so they can get into position on the course, course map, and instructions for where on the course the Creepers and Walkers will be assigned
