 Event Details

Swim, bike, and run! Team BEAST will host the 14th Burlington Youth Triathlon featuring chip timing. Certified lifeguards will be in the pool area. A bike helmet is required at all times while on the bike. No drafting is allowed. A water station will be located near the transition area.

Parents will be allowed into transition prior to the race.

  • Chip Timing
  • Race Location: Dankwardt Park- 2700 Block S. Main St. Burlington, IA
  • Participant age group is now based upon day of race
  • Teams will compete with the individuals in their age group and at those particular distances.
  • Team age will be determined by the age of the oldest participant.

Friday, August 16 - Dankwardt Park
6:00 - 7:00 PM: Registration / Packet Pick Up.

Sunday, August 18 - Race Day (RAIN or SHINE)
7:00 - 8:15 AM: Packet Pick Up
8:00 AM: Transition Opens
8:40 AM: Transition Closes
8:45 AM: Pre-Race Meeting
9:00 AM: Race Start (staggered by age group)
Post race Fun, Food, and Awards!

 Distances

Participant age group is based upon day of race.
7-8 Year Olds:
50m swim - 1.7mi bike - 1/4mi run

9-11 Year Olds:
100m swim - 3.3mi bike - 1/2mi run

12-14 Year Olds:
200m swim - 4.9mi bike - 1mi run

15-16 Year Olds:
200m swim - 4.9 mi bike - 1mi run

Team:
The teams will run the same distances as the age group in which the teams are classified (age according to oldest participant).
